Labour and Social Development Minister, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, received here today the Secretary-General of the Federation of GCC Chambers (FGCCC), Abdulrahim Naqi, in the presence of the member of the Advisory Board of the Supreme Council of the GCC, and GGCCC advisor, Kadhem Al-Said.
They reviewed the challenges faced by GCC labour markets, as well as the efforts being exerted by various economic and trade sectors across the GCC to consolidate the role of the citizens in the management of production sectors. They also highlighted the support and facilities provided by GCC governments to the private sector so as to be able to assume its role in the best way.
The minister stressed the importance of the role of FGCCC and its contributions to developing the economies of member states, noting that the private sector across the GCC is flourishing thanks to the supportive sound policies of GCC governments, being a promising sector creating jobs for nationals.
He also affirmed the role of the private sector installations in integrating GCC youth in the labour market, calling for the need to intensify efforts between the three production parties in GCC states to improve the labour environment so as to be more attractive for the national workforce and be a development engine for comprehensive development.
FGCCC secretary-general lauded the initiatives of the Labour and Social Development Ministry in fostering social dialogue among the three production parties and its positive impacts on economic progress and development process.
