Jordan's King Abdullah II received on Monday at the Husseiniya Palace in the Jordanian capital, Kataeb Party chief, MP Sami Gemayel, currently on an official visit to Amman.
Talks reportedly touched on most recent developments on the regional and international arena, as per a statement by Gemayel's Media Bureau.
The Jordanian Monarch underlined the deeply entrenched historical and brotherly relations between the two countries, saying Jordan stands beside Lebanon in its efforts to overcome the current challenges and maintain its national unity, sovereignty, security and stability, to build a better future for the Lebanese people.
MP Gemayel expressed appreciation of Jordan's positions, under the leadership of King Abdullah, in support of Lebanon's unity, stability and prosperity and Jordan's continuous efforts to achieve security and stability in the region.
The Lawmaker also thanked Jordan for supporting the Lebanese army, stressing the importance of bolstering bilateral relations between the two countries
