Jordanian King receives credentials of UAE Ambassador

King Abdullah II of Jordan on Monday received the credentials of Matar Saif Al-Shamsi, UAE Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

During the meeting, the UAE envoy conveyed the regards of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to King Abdullah. He also expressed his enthusiasm for his appointment as the country's ambassador to Jordan, and his pride over the distinct relations between the UAE and Jordan.

The ambassador said that he will do his utmost to strengthen the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.

King Abdullah relayed his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the Emirati people, wishing the ambassador success in his duties.

The meeting was attended by a number of senior government officials.
