Armed Forces chief of staff Mahmoud Hegazy had talks on Monday with visiting UN special envoy to Libya Martin Kobler on Egypt's efforts to reach a national accord in Libya.
The meeting also took up the latest developments in Libya in light of the outcome of meetings between the national dialogue committee and Libyan powers over the past days.
During the meeting, Hegazy asserted Egypt's keenness on settling the Libyan crisis via reaching a consensus among all parties that preserves the state unity and territorial integrity.
Kobler, for his part, lauded Egypt's efforts to help reach a political settlement to the Libyan crisis, stressing the importance of continuing regional and international efforts to break the political stalemate in Libya during the current stage.
