Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Monday with former Quartet envoy to the Middle East Tony Blair.

During the meeting, Blair presented his vision on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and means to launch a peace process between the Palestinians and Israel.

The two sides discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip and ways of pushing ahead the international efforts to carry out commitments of a donor conference on Gaza, which was held in Cairo in October.
