Lebanese President General Michel Aoun met on Thursday with French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault, currently on a visit to Lebanon, the official Lebanese news agency NNA reported.

    The meeting reviewed ties between the two countries in addition to issues of mutual interest. Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri also met Ayrault, with talks touching on bilateral relations between the two countries.

    The French minister stressed his country's constant support for Lebanon, noting that France will continue to help Lebanon stay away from the Syrian crisis.
