Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan (R)

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, yesterday met with John Key, Prime Minister of New Zealand.
During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the UAE's keenness and its sincere desire to promote cooperation and friendship between the two countries, to having more opportunities of growth and progress and to support it in all fields to serve the common interests of the two countries and peoples.
The Prime Minister of New Zealand welcomed the visit of UAE Foreign Minister and his accompanying delegation, expressing his wishes that the visit will have positive results in the promotion of what has been achieved during the last years of development in the two countries' relations and explore further prospects and opportunities of investment and partnership in economic, trade, tourism, agriculture relations as well as renewable energy projects along with other fields.
The meeting also touched on ways to achieve further growth and prosperity in the strategic partnership between the two countries and the possibility of opening up new investment areas. It reviewed taking advantage of opportunities in both countries besides providing more opportunities for the private sector, investors and businessmen's participation in joint projects especially in the fields of renewable energy, tourism, agriculture, education and other fields.
Also during the meeting they exchanged views on the current regional and international developments and their negative effects on global stability, International peace and security and a number of issues and topics of common interest between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Director of the Department of East Asia and Pacific at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
