Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal has been received Monday in Tunis by Tunisian President Moncef Marzouki on the sidelines of the international conference "Invest in Tunisia, Start-up Democracy" in which the two officials participated.
The audience took place in presence of Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra and Algerian Ambassador to Tunis Abdelkader Hadjar.
"The audience was an opportunity to discuss Algerian-Tunisian relations and the prospects for their development," Sellal to the journalists at the end of the meeting.
"It was also an opportunity to reiterate Algeria's solidarity with Tunisia and its readiness to continue and strengthen the political,, security, economic and financial cooperation", he added.
"We also discussed the situation in Libya," he said, adding that "Algeria will work in collaboration with other neighbouring countries, including Tunisia to preserve the security and the unity of this country."
Sellal arrived Monday morning in Tunis to participate in the international conference.
