Pascal Hachem’s exhibition Beliefs in Self-Deception probes issues relating to the volatile political situation within the Arab world, and in particular, the ever-shifting role of power. Seeking to both reveal the truth and present audiences with new questions, Hachem?s sculptural installations focus on power and its transient quality – or rather, its falseness. Pascal Hachem was born in Lebanon in 1979, where he studied at the Université Saint-Esprit De Kaslik, receiving a degree in spatial design. He has exhibited his works in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including Bring the Boys Back Home (2010) at Selma Feriani Gallery, London and in.nate.ness at the Frederica Schiavo Gallery in Rome in the same year. The exhibition will show at Selma Feriani Gallery, 23 Maddox Street, London W1S 2QN until March 2.
