The Muscat International Festival for Arts and Crafts has announced it will host a traditional Fustat crafts fair between February 14-28. Mohammed Abu Seada, head of the Culture Ministry’s Cultural Development Fund (CDF) whichbfinances the Fustat scheme, said taking part in the festival would help introduce Egyptian heritage to the world and enhance relations between Egypt and other countries. Abdel Hakim Sayed, Fustat Centre director, said the organisation would display stained glass, ceramics and carpentry, on top of an exhibition of pieces of traditional crafts. The Fustat Crafts Centre regularly represents Egypt across the world. It was featured at a traditional crafts exhibition in India at the beginning of February.
