State Minister for Antiquities Mohamed Ibrahim said some missing parts of one of the two massive stone statues of the Colossi of Memnon, located at Pharaoh Amenhotep III Temple in Luxor city, were discovered. Ibrahim added in statements on Sunday that the discovery is quartzite stone blocks and was made by a German archaeological mission in cooperation with the ministry. The discovered parts were lost during old era in an earthquake which caused the collapse of the temple, according to the minister.
