The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States, Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa, received Presidential Secretary Ahmed Ihab, who conveyed the congratulations of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to his Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and to the Government and people of Bahrain on the occasion of the National Day holidays on December 16-17, marking the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783, the 46th anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member and the 18th anniversary of His Majesty the King’s accession to the throne.
Shaikh Rashid conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Ministerand the people of Bahrain, to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the Egyptian people, wishing the leadership, government and people of Egypt more progress and prosperity and to strive towards firming the strong and historical relations between the two countries and brotherly peoples
During the meeting, the Bahraini Ambassador expressed his happiness with the development of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt as a distinctive example of the strong relations between them in all fields. He pointed out that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, reiterates its solid position with Egypt in its efforts to combat terrorism and safeguard its security and stability, and to continue economic reform as a pillar of regional security and stability, considering that strong Egypt is the support and strength of all Arabs.
The ambassador also praised the honorable positions of Egypt towards Bahrain and the security of the Gulf region, stressing that Bahrain and Egypt constitute an Arab depth and a strong asset to meet the challenges existing at the level of the region.
He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Government, and the people for their participation in the celebrations of the Kingdom of Bahrain, wishing the two brotherly countries more progress and prosperity under their wise leadership.
