Minister of Human Rights Affairs Dr. Salah bin Ali Abdulrahman received Permanent Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Peter Grohmann, his Deputy Lamia Jalaleddine Qutob and Programme Coordinator Mohammed Al Sharif. He lauded strong cooperation between the government and UNDP office, stressing keenness to take advantage of the expertise and programmes of international organisations. He also discussed with the UN official the future plan of the Human Rights Affairs Ministry to boost the human rights culture among government employees and members of the civil society. He underlined the ministry\'s keen interest to promote the culture of human rights, pointing out his keenness on more cooperation with well-reputed international organisations to conduct training programmes during the next phase. He welcomed coordination with the UNDP office concerning the implementation of the Human Rights Council\'s recommendations according to a fixed schedule. He stressed that Bahrain\'s doors are open for renowned international bodies and human rights organisations to get updated on the civilizational and human rights achievements in the kingdom. He also spotlighted the national efforts to achieve reconciliation, stop violence and incitement of hatred and launch an all-inclusive comprehensive dialogue. On his part, the UNDP Permanent Representative thanked the Human Rights Ministry for its major role in achieving its national duties and constitutional jurisdictions. He also welcomed stronger cooperation between the Human Rights Ministry and UNDP office to achieve forecast goals and promote the culture of human rights.
