A new gas-condensate field Kerven was put into operation in the Zaunguz Kara Kum, Lebap region, the Turkmen ministry of oil and gas industry and mineral resources of the country said today. Up to 650,000 cubic meters of natural fuel are obtained from the well No 6 each day. The first hundreds of tons of hydrocarbon condensate were mined from the Kerven. Two additional development wells are being drilled at the field. Kerven resources exceed several billion cubic meters of gas. Gas-bearing layers are located at a depth of about 3,500 meters. A number of infrastructural facilities, including gathering system, reservoirs, reservoirs, power and other facilities have been built there. A main gas pipeline with high pressure and a condensate-pipeline Kerven-Babaarab-North Balgui with a length of more than 45 kilometers were laid to transport hydrocarbon resources. Gas is cleaned, dried, prepared at North Balgui installations and then enters the Nayip gas processing complex. Babaarab gas condensate field is being prepared for commissioning in this area. The Seidi refinery, where the gas condensate is converted into light oil products, will use these fields.
