South Khorassan province's non-oil exports

 Non-oil exports from South Khorassan province, in Eastern Iran, exceeded $50 million in the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2014-July 22, 2014) showing a 14-percent rise in value, a senior trade official announced on Saturday.

"Iran exported $50,060,911 worth of goods through border markets and customs department of South Khorassan province in the first four months of the current year," Deputy Head of Iran's Export Promotion Organization Mehdi Mahgoli told FNA on Saturday.
He noted that Iran's non-oil exports from South Khorassan province showed a 14-percent rise in value and a 3-percent rise in weight in the said period as compared with the figures pertaining to the corresponding period in the last year.
Last week, a report by Iran's Trade Promotion Organization announced that the country's non-oil exports surpassed USD 8 billion in the first three months of the current Iranian year (March21- June 22).
Iran exported $8.1 billion of non-oil goods, with the exception of gas condensates, in the first three months of the current year showing a five percent growth as compared with the corresponding period in the last year, TPO Director for Planning Hossein Badri said today.
Iran’s main export destinations, in descending order, were China, Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan and Turkey. These countries accounted for 70 percent of the total value of Iran's exports in the said period, according to the official.
