Some 550,000 barrels of Russian oil, extracted from deepbeneath the Arctic Sea, are due to arrive in the Dutch port of Rotterdam on May 1,Dutch media reported on Friday.Dutch daily Volkskrant said that the first oil shipment will be delivered to theRotterdam spot market.Oil tanker Mikhail Ulayanov will begin its journey from the port of Murmansk innorth west Russia to the Netherlands today, Friday, Russian oil giant Gazprom said.A majority of Dutch MPs early this month supported a motion calling on thegovernment to pressure Europe to impose a ban on the transport of Arctic oil.
