This batch is sent as part of implementing the instructions of the Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al0Thani to relieve the Egyptian people Qatar News Agency (QNA) quoted an official source in the Qatari Foreign Ministry as saying this shipment of gas will contribute to alleviating the energy shortage crisis by supplying the power plants in Egypt. Such power plants were hit by extreme shortage of gas during summer, a season during which consumption of energy increases, the source added.
