Qatar Petroleum (QP) today gave recognition to a total of 418 QP employees who have completed 20, 25, 30 years of service with the corporation. The annual QP Continuous Service Award (CSA) Ceremony was held at the AL Majlis Hall of Sheraton Doha Resort and convention Hotel and was attended by senior QP officials as well as the family members of the awardees. In his keynote address, HE Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman & Managing Director of QP Dr Mohammed bin Sakleh Al-Sada gave tribute to the long-serving employees and commended them for their dedication to their job and loyalty to the corporation. \"QP is what it is today - a leading and respected player in the global oil & gas industry - due in large part to your determined efforts and commitment. I would thus like to express my gratitude to all of you for your valuable role as we continue to develop the Sate of Qatar\'\'s oil & gas resources to serve the world\'\'s rising energy requirements.\" Dr Al-Sada said. The awardees were made up of 195 QP employees who have already served the corporation for 20 years, 110 employees who have completed 25 years of service, 89 employees who have been working QP for 30 years, and 24 employees who have part of the corporation over the past 35 years. Citing the rapid growth of the Country\'\'s oil & gas industry over the years, Dr Al-Sada thanked the employees for their important contribution in QP\'\'s operations, including the completion of major projects that have firmly established the State of Qatar\'\'s reputation as the World\'\'s No. 1 LNG producer and the global capital of gas-to-Liquids products. \"All of you have not been passive witness to these major developments and historic achievements. You have all been active participants in the continued growth of the oil & gas industry in the State of Qatar, \" Dr Al-Sada stressed, All the awardees received certificates and gifts as tokens of appreciation for their long years of service with the corporation. QP will be holding another Continuous Service Award Ceremony October 26 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel for employees who have been serving the corporation for the past 10 and 15 years.
