Kuwait's crude oil

Kuwaiti crude oil prices surged by nine cents to USD 108.91 per barrel on Monday compared to USD 108.82 pb the previous day, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) said here on Tuesday.
At international oil markets, US crude rose at New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) by 60 cents to USD 107.03 pb, but mixed Brent crude contracts went down to USD 114.94 pb.
Markets were also overshadowed by anxiety over the situation in Iraq, the second biggest oil producer in the OPEC, heightening anxiety over possible disruption in oil supply.
Local oil prices declined last week against the backdrop of the current situation in Iraq.
