Kuwaiti oil price up US$1.78 to stand at $59.48 per barrel

The price of Kuwaiti crude oil has gone up US$1.78, settling at $59.48 per barrel, compared to $57.70 per barrel since last Friday, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation on Tuesday.

According to the Kuwait News Agency, crude oil prices were up Monday in world markets. Long futures contracts were up, with crude Brent Mixed up 37 cents to $62.45 while US crude Western Texas oil was up 20 cents to settle at $55.80 per barrel.
