Minister of Oil Hani Hussein on Tuesday stressed that the future for his ministry would present an era of development, achievements, and amendment of errors with wrongdoers held accountable. Speaking to reporters immediately after attending a parliamentary session, where a grilling motion presented against him recieved approval for a four-month delay, the minister said that the \"government and parliament are on the same boat as the next phase would be a period of development and achievement\", expressing hope that the two would work together towards stability, cooperation and development. \"Ministers are not above accountability,\" he added, welcoming \"constructive criticism that contributes to improvement, fixing mistakes at work and holding wrongdoers accountable.\" \"We as ministers in the government, under the leadership of His Highness the Prime Minister, and our colleague decision-makers in the oil sector are not above accountability as we welcome constructive criticism that aims at improvement. If there are mistakes, we look forward to fixing them,\" said the minister. During today\'s session, the parliament voted in favour of the minister\'s request to postpone for four months a grilling motion directed at him by lawmakers Saadoun Hamad and Nawaf Al-Fuzai in accordance with article 135 of the parliament statute.
