Price of Kuwaiti crude oil went up 46 cents settling at USD 107.98 per barrel on Friday compared to USD 107.52 pb on Thursday, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation in a statement on Saturday. The global price for future Brent contracts went up over USD 112 Friday due to the halt in African oil supplies and the sharp decrease in fuel reserves in the US, the world largest energy consumer. US statistics showed that American crude oil reserves had decreased by 4.7 million barrels last week despite the US oil export being at its highest level.
