The price of Kuwait crude oil slid by USD 1.57 to settle at USD 98.05 pb on Thursday compared with USD 99.62 a day earlier, Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) reported Friday. The crude price plummeted as US oil inventories reached an 82-year high amid signs of economic slowdown in the U.S. and China. The US Energy Information Administration said stockpiles jumped to 395.3 million barrels in the week ended April 26, the most in weekly data started in 1982.
