The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announced Thursday propane and butane prices for June. In a press statement sent to KUNA, KPC said propane will be sold at USD 745 per metric ton in June, up USD 10 compared with its price a month earlier. Meanwhile, butane will be sold at USD 770 per metric ton in June, down USD 5 vis-@-vis its May price. Propane and Butane prices are affected by fluctuations of the crude oil market, and the value of the US dollar also weighs on pricing, along with geopolitical factors and natural disasters. The two gases are used in the petrochemical industry, cooking, heating and other areas.
