The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) announced in a press statement on Thursday its prices of liquefied gas for May.

The price of the metric ton of propane is set at USD 465, up by USD five per metric ton compared with that of April which recorded USD 460. The price of metric ton of butane is set at USD 475, up USD 5 per metric ton, compared to USD 470 in April, it stated.

Propane and butane prices are affected by the price of crude oil, and the value of the US dollar, along with geopolitical factors and natural disasters. The two substances are used in the petrochemical industry, cooking, heating and other areas.
