According to the oil ministry\'s website, the 9 projects, which include launching gasoline making units at Abadan, Tabriz, Isfehan, Bandar Abbas, Tehran (Shahid Tondgouyan), Imam Khomeini (Shazand) plus some development and upgrading plans at Persian Gulf Star and Lavan oil refineries, are currently underway. By implementation of these projects production of kerosene and jet fuel will also increase by 7.4 million liters and liquid gas by 7.4 million liters. Last week, Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) Alireza Zeighami said nine oil refining projects would come on line by June 2013 when the current term of office of President Ahmadinejad ends. According to Zeighami, development plans at Imam Khomeini (Shazand) and Lavan oil refineries, upgrading and boosting capacity at Shahid Tondgouyan (Tehran), Tabriz and Isfahan oil refineries, gasoline making unit of Bandar Abbas oil refinery as well as the third development phase of Abadan oil refinery are among these projects. A number of important refining projects will be inaugurated this year, including pipeline and development plans of oil refineries, Zeighami concluded.
