As delegated by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, Dr. Salim bin Nasser al-Ismaily, Chairman of the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Exports Development took part at the launching of Iran-Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline project, which was held at Chabahar border point between the two countries under the patronage of Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadi Nejad, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Asif Ali Zardari President of the Republic of Pakistan. Al-Ismaily was accompanied by Sayyid Faisal bin Turki al-Said, Director General of Marketing and Media at the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Exports Development. The 1220 km long in Iran and 780 km long in Pakistan pipeline is expected to be completed in two years with participation from Iran. Al Salam Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline will export 21.5 million cubic meter of Iranian gas per day to Pakistan during the next 25 years.
