The International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) in Abu Dhabi is backing equal employment opportunities in the U.A.E. for those with special needs. The company helped organise the Abu Dhabi Special Needs Employment and Rehabilitation exhibition - an event that brought employers and those with special needs together. IPIC Managing Director, Khadem Al Qubaisi, said the subject should be put in the spotlight more often: \"Giving everyone a fair opportunity to pursue the career they want is something we truly believe in,\" he said. \"And this follows the wishes of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan on what IPIC stands for. \"We were the main sponsors of the event and got involved as much as we could. It is the responsibility of IPIC and all other employers in this country to provide equal opportunities - no matter if an individual has special needs or not, according to Al Qubaisi. \"By doing this a company can truly grow in the right way and that is why we came in and gave this event the chance to succeed.\" At the conference, which was held last week at Abu Dhabi\'s Armed Forces Officers Club, employers from within the U.A.E. showcased the range of career options they have, and hundreds of potential employees with special needs were in attendance to discuss job opportunities and look at how to take the next step to a new job.
