Gas production in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries is forecast to reach 6.6 billion cubic meters per day (BCMD) next year, according to a report published today by the Jeddah-based Saudi Gazette. Its estimated growth this year is 6.3 billion cubic meters per day this year from 5.4 billion cubic meters per day in 2010. Qatar is set to pump 2.5 billion cubic meters per day over the course of 2011 and 2012.
