Crude oil climbed past $94 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange Monday morning after a four-day price slide. With temperatures beginning to rise in the critical Northeast corridor after a significant winter storm, West Texas Intermediate oil added 26 cents to reach $94.22 per barrel. Gasoline prices added 2.245 cents to $2.6712 a gallon. Home heating oil gained 3.35 cents to hit $2.9729. Natural gas added 1 cent to $4.31 per million British thermal units. The national average price of unleaded regular gasoline was unchanged, holding at $3.317, the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report said. A week ago, the national average price of gasoline was $3.312 per gallon. A year earlier, the price stood at $3.299.
