Egypt's Darul Iftaa

An observatory of extremist Fatwas (religious opinion) affiliated with Egypt's Darul Iftaa asserted that a setback has been recorded in the number of Daesh views on its Twitter accounts during May compared with the same month of the previous year according to announcements made by the group itself.

In a statement released on Saturday, the Observatory said such big decline is an indication on the collapse of the terrorist group and its recession in the digital world as well as on the ground.

It also called for confronting such terrorist groups and their electronic wars that target the whole world, a matter which required a common ground of laws and international legislation to stand up against terrorism and its spread via internet and on the ground.

The statement also sounded the alarm against the serious impact of using social media by the terrorist groups to recruit other elements especially that up to 62 percent of its users are youths at the age ranging between 14 to 34 years old
