Microsoft will begin offering a version of its Office productivity suite for iOS and Android devices next year, U.S. and European tech websites are reporting. Microsoft product manager Petr Bobek, speaking at a press event in the Czech Republic, said native Office apps for iOS and Android will be available in March, Czech website IHNED reported. The Verge website also reported it had obtained a press release from Microsoft\'s Czech Republic office confirming the release. A Microsoft spokesperson declined to comment on The Verge\'s posting, CNET reported Wednesday. \"Office Mobile will work across Windows Phones, Android phones and iOS, and we have nothing additional to announce today about retail availability of the new Office,\" Microsoft said in a statement to CNET. There have been ongoing rumors Microsoft is working on native applications to run on Apple\'s iOS and Google\'s Android platforms. The press release seen by The Verge reportedly said a consumer launch of the new Office with support for mobile operating systems would happen in February.
