Bet that title got your attention.  Who wouldn’t want early access to one of the most popular video game series out there?!  After all, Resident Evil 6 isn’t coming out until November 20th.  I know – wayyy too long to wait!  But if you buy the action RPG Dragon’s Dogma on May 22nd (the 25th in Europe), you can have access to the Resident Evil demo.  The catch?  Only Xbox 360 users are allowed access that early.  PS3 gamers have to wait until September 4th (the 5th in Europe). Is Dragon’s Dogma worth it?  If you’re into action adventure games, it’s probably a game for you.  There are many different characters to choose from – fighter, warrior, mystic knight, strider, ranger, assassin, mage, sorcerer, and magic archer.  You have three members in your party and can issue simple commands like “go” and “help.”Fighting has been compared to Shadow of the Colossus, since you can climb all over your enemies to attack.  Let’s hope combat is just as smooth as in Shadow of the Colossus, or Dragon’s Dogma is set up for major criticism from the onset.  It would be amazing for a game to revisit that style of combat…remember how satisfying it was to climb up on the head of a giant monster and bring it down?  We’ll have to wait and see how the combat system plays out, since “the game is being made to be playable even by those who aren’t too good with action games.”Wait – if that’s true, then why in the world is it Dragon’s Dogma of all games that holds the key to early Resident Evil access?!!!  Dragon’s Dogma is an action adventure, designed for people who aren’t all that great at action games.  PLUS it’s about a dragon ripping the heart out of the hero, and the hero setting forth on a mission to kill the dragon.  What…?  This is arguably the complete opposite of horror survival shooter in which you blast away hundreds of zombies.  The pictures below say it all:
