The Russian cargo ship Progress M-23M has undocked from the International Space Station (ISS), Federal Space Agency Roscosmos said Tuesday.
"The ship separated from Russia's Pirs section of the ISS at 01:44 Moscow time (2144 GMT on Monday)," the Mission Control website said.
The craft continues its autonomous flight, and is scheduled to be used by the geophysical experiment "Radar-Progress" from July 26 to 31, before being sunk in the Pacific on August 1.
The experiment aims to study certain characteristics of the ionosphere, especially the engine's impacts on it.
The unmanned resupplying spacecraft Progress was launched in April, carrying 2.5 tons of cargo containing water, food, fuel, oxygen, medical and scientific equipment.
The next resupplying ship, Progress M-24M, is due to blast off from Kazakhstan's Baikonur space center on Thursday and dock with the ISS on the same day.
