The Asia Office of the International Movement for Leisure Activities in Sciences and Technology (MILSET) said it aims to expand cooperation with international bodies in this field to help meet its objectives and develop and promote youth programs in science and technology worldwide, in a statement to KUNA, Sunday. The movement said it held a meeting with a delegation of specialists from international organizations in the field of youth action and activities in science and technology and in cultural and environmental action. The discussions during the meeting focused on future cooperation and feasible joint programs, as well as office plans for the upcoming phase. The delegation visited the MILSET Asia Office, here, and reviewed its mechanisms and programs aimed at encouraging youth to engage in such activities, and also reviewed office contributions aiming at increasing science and knowledge awareness and appreciation among youth. The experts, the statement pointed out, also touched upon environment protection, sustainable development, and world peace and stressed these as main themes on which activities and campaigns are to be planned. The meetings ended with agreement on both sides that joint activities would greatly contribute to this field and help the Asia Office meet its objectives.
