Cospicua Malta

A lecture on China's scientific and technological achievement was held late Thursday in Cospicua, a double-fortified harbor city in Malta.
The lecture, given by Richard Evans, a British scientist living in Malta for years, touched upon many significant advances made by the Chinese people in such fields as astronomy, mathematics and medicine.
Maltese officials and representatives from Malta Chinese Cultural Center and Mediterranean Regional Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine were present at the lecture.
Cospicua Mayor Alison Zerafa Civelli said she was quite impressed by the lecture, describing it as "a good start" for a series of Chinese-themed activities organized by the local council in the coming weeks.
China and Malta, which established diplomatic relations in 1972, have witnessed increasing cooperation in the fields of culture and education and people-to-people exchanges in recent years.
