Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah has launched a smart equipment system project as part of his ministry's security development plan.
Sheikh Mohammad, who doubles as acting Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, said while visiting the ministry's information technology and communication administration, that the relentless development blueprint is the key to upgrading security efficiency on the basis that technology and science act as new weapons of security forces, the ministry said in a statement.
He highly lauded the ministry's technological and security development system as being as impressive as that in advanced world countries.
The minister said the information technology and communication sector is playing a key scientific role in supporting and developing the security strategy to fight crimes with all its social and economic dimensions.
