Iran is planning to hold the 2012 edition of the International Telecommunications Symposium in the capital city of Tehran. The biennial event will be held from November 6 to 8, and in 8 main categories and 66 sub-categories within the scope of telecommunications, said director of the symposium’s scientific committee Mahmoud Kamarei. Participants will discuss topics such as ‘wireless telecommunications in satellite mobiles,’ ‘telecommunications systems,’ ‘theory of telecommunications networks,’ ‘information technology,’ ‘security of inputs,’ and ‘programming in ields of communications and information technology.’ “We expect some 600 articles to be submitted to this year’s symposium,” said Kamarei adding that the event will also present some 15 training workshops and lectures. Held biennially since 2006, Iran’s International Telecommunications Symposium aims to provide an opportunity for Iranian and foreign experts to share their views and achievements.
