Iranian Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari

Iranian Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari announced that the country is ready to export its information and communications technology products to Iraq.
Sattari made the announcement in a meeting with Iraqi Communications Minister Kazzem Hassan al-Rashid in Tehran on Wednesday.
"We are ready to export ICT equipment and technology as well as the needed training to Iraq," the Iranian vice president said.
The Iraqi communications minister, for his part, pointed to the agreements reached between Iraq and Iran, and said his visit to Iran is meant to widen mutual cooperation in the field.
On Sunday, Iranian Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi announced that Tehran and Baghdad have a plan to boost their cooperation and run a joint telecommunications operator.
In a meeting with al-Rashid in Tehran, Vaezi voiced his ministry's readiness for establishing a joint telecommunications operator with Iraq to improve roaming quality.
He further added that Iran and Iraq share five sound and data connection points because of their long shared borders.
The two sides also discussed ways for the further expansion of bilateral cooperation on post, post bank, internet, satellite, cell phone and phone.
