Mars mission

India's maiden Mars mission has covered about 80 per cent of its journey, the state-owned Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said on Tuesday.
The Mars orbiter spacecraft has covered some 540 million km since its launch last year, and is likely to hit the red planet on September 24 as slated.
"Yes, that is very close to a whopping 80 per cent. Mars Orbit Mission and its payloads are in good health," the ISRO said on its social networking site.
The mission was launched in November last year.
