Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC)

Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, DFWAC, participated in GITEX 2014 as a part of the Emirates Charity Gate project launched by Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department, IACAD.
Afra Al Basti, Director-General of the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, said that DFWAC participation in the exhibition aims to inform the public about its services in general, especially its new online-donating service via Emirates Charity Gate.
She added that the exhibition is an important opportunity for all entities to exchange experiences and ideas, which DFWAC seeks to take advantage of within the framework of its plan to provide the latest technology to serve its customers and to shift to smart services after successfully shifting all its work into the digital domain.
Al Basti explained that DFWAC is on its way to launch a number of new digital services which aim to serve the victims of violence, and to raise awareness among members of the community to this phenomenon and the foundation efforts to face it. She added, "We are currently introducing a number of updates on the website of the foundation to add a number of services which will benefit its visitors, along with access to the latest news and activities of the foundation.
Al Basti thanked the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai for giving DFWAC the opportunity to participate in the exhibition through its stand, praising the size of support and mutual cooperation between the two sides in order to serve the members of the community.
DFWAC launched its online-donating service last July via Emirates Charity Gate, a project of the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Work Department in Dubai, which is also available through the foundation’s website and smartphone app, "Emirates Charity". The new service is available to the public in various denominations to provide donations to the foundation by credit card payment and through mobile applications in addition to the website, through simple steps.
