The domestic consumer electronic devices market in the UAE has seen an upsurge in growth that is mainly driven by  3D Internet TVs, Smartphones, Tablets and computers besides other leading electronic gadgets, says a top official of Jumbo Electronics, one of UAE’s leading IT specialist and consumer electronics company. Speaking to The Gulf Today on Friday, Nadeem Khanzadah — Retail head Jumbo Electronics disclosed that the electronics industry in general has been doing exceptionally well, adding that sales is mainly driven by  technology change  as consumers want to upgrade their existing gadgets with the latest products  in the market and hence this also keeps our  business moving . Khanzadah who was speaking during the second day of the Jumbo Electronics warehouse sale said that he was overwhelmed with the turn-out of the crowd as they seek for bargain prices on some of the leading electronic products. The three-day event which comes to an end today (Saturday) has seen unending ques of customers eagerly waiting to visit the hall where various products were put on display. Besides home appliances such as washing machines, vacuum cleaners, consumers were more interested in the top of the range digital cameras, mobile handsets, home-theatres etc. There were at least 10,000 items on offer. The mega annual sale is providing customers up to 80 per cent discount on regular prices along with zero per cent interest rate by the participating banks. Asked about the reason to host such an annual warehouse sale, Kazanha said that the electronic company is committed to offering its valued customers high quality products at the most competitive prices. Asked how the electronic company can afford to give out such huge discounts during a warehouse sale, Khanzadah , said that unlike other retailers  who sell their stocks into the second-hand market or other dealers, Jumbo Electronics while refreshing their stocks prefer to give its consumers the first priority with good bargains on most of the leading products. In the last one year, we have seen the technology change among the end-users who are looking to update their products with latest top-of the notch gadgets, says Kazanha. Though our partner banks Masreq and StandChart are present at the venue, we have also given a change to other banks to participate this year and that they do accept three mode of payments, cash, debit card or credit card so that consumers have the opportunity to own their favourite products, with zero per cent on bank installments. In the last warehouse sale in 2010, the increase in sales was 10 per cent , however this year Jumbo Electronics expect the percentage to be more mainly because of two reasons,  more inventory and also the centrally located venue at the Trade Centre.
