China\'s first female astronaut to fly in space told conference goers in Naples she believes there are other forms of life in the universe. On Wednesday, Liu Yang told the 63rd International Astronautical Congress - IAC 2012 - that she was convinced humans were not alone in the universe and that the greatest emotion during her space flight in June was the perception of \"how big the universe is\". Liu Yang flew in the first module of the Tiangong 1 space station, marking the first space flight ever for a female Chinese astronaut. The tiny astronaut with short hair and a ready smile said the mission allowed her to better understand the planet, and said that earth seen from outer-space is a marvelous \"jewel\" in the universe. She added that because the universe is so vast, \"I think there must be other forms of life. In this moment, perhaps, other astronauts are in orbit around their planets\". After completing the 12-day mission, Liu Yang has continued to train so that she might be ready should she ever be called upon for a new mission.
