An asteroid up to 549 kilometers

An asteroid up to 549 kilometers across will pass by the Earth by 1.2 million kilometers, the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) said Wednesday
According to NASA scientists, asteroid 2004 BL86 will come closest Monday and will be the nearest an asteroid will get for another 200 years. It will also be the closest known encounter by such a massive space rock until another mega-asteroid flies by in 2027.
The asteroid was discovered in 2004 and is estimated to be between 48,768 centimeters and 54,864 centimeters in size.
Amateur astronomers across the United States should be able to see the asteroid with telescopes and binoculars.
