Radiologists

Chairman of the Kuwaiti nuclear medicine and positronic imaging society Dr. Fahad Maarafi and Dr. Abdulredha Ismail are here under an invitation from Emory University, Druid Hills, Georgia, to deliver lectures for two days.
The lectures will deal with the latest achievements made by Kuwait Cancer Control Center (KCCC) in radiography and positronic brain imaging, Dr. Maarafi told KUNA.
"We aim also to share experience with pioneers of positronic imaging at the prestigious university. This type of imaging helps locate the cancerous cells accurately as a prelude to using radiology," he said.
"The achievements made by Kuwait in this field are a source of pride for all of us; they usher in a revolution in nuclear medicine," he added.
On his part, Dr. Ismail, member of the Kuwaiti nuclear medicine and positronic imaging society, said this will be the first time for Kuwaiti consultants to deliver lectures to a US university in this domain.
He added that KCCC uses the state-of-the-art technologies and equipment which enabled making the scientific achievements in cancer diagnostics and treatment in a short time.
He attributed the achievements to the support offered by Chairperson of the KCCC Nuclear Medicine Department Dr. Farida Al-Kandari and KCCC Director Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi
