Sony Corp.\'s India unit said Tuesday it expects a 30% rise in sales this fiscal year, a strong indication that the country represents one of few bright spots in the Japanese electronics company\'s otherwise challenging global outlook. Sony said in a statement that the Indian unit is on track to become the fifth-largest contributor to its worldwide sales by next March. Last fiscal year through March, Sony India\'s sales rose 16% to 63.13 billion rupees ($1.15 billion).
