A Utah woman has been charged with felony third-degree aggravated assault for allegedly trying to hit three joggers with her car while yelling a racial slur. The woman, whose name was not reported, told police \"that it was funny to call [the three women] \'negroes,\'\" and \"some people can\'t take a joke,\" The Salt Lake Tribune reported Tuesday. In the charges filed Monday, police said the 38-year-old woman drove past the three joggers March 31 and yelled a racial epithet at them three times. The driver drove away but later returned and turned into a driveway the joggers were crossing, forcing the three women to move into the grass to avoid being hit, police said. The police report said the woman yelled the epithet at them again, but the woman claimed she called them \"negroes,\" not the word the joggers reported to police.
