Police said the Michigan woman accused of stealing a shoe autographed by Hulk Hogan from his Florida store called the shop to say she "had done a stupid thing." The Clearwater Police Department said the woman, who was caught on camera Sunday swiping the $5,500 autographed shoe from Hogan's Beach Shop in Clearwater, called the store Thursday and confessed, the Tampa Bay (Fla.) Times reported Friday. The woman, whose name was not released, told workers she had brought the shoe back with her to Michigan and she made arrangements during her Thursday phone call to return it. Police said no charges have been filed but the woman has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
