The second workshop of the training package for the official state institutions kicked off at the headquarters of the Supreme Council for Women, which is organized by the council in cooperation with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The lecturer of the workshop, which comes under the theme “Women’s Leadership Skills and Building an Effective Team,” is the development and building capacities consultant, expert Elham Al Fateem. The workshop aims at harnessing the leadership skills of the participants in the workshop either males or females to become more aware of the leadership role, and be briefed on the latest leadership theories and curricula, dealing with others and how to apply them in their organizations. Among the participants in the workshop representatives of Ministry of Labour, National Oil and Gas Authority, Ministry of Housing, Ministry of Works, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Information Affairs Authority, Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Urban Planning, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Health, Representatives Council, Economic Development Board, and a number of the Council’s affiliates. There will be also representatives of Bahraini Women Union, Bahrain Society for Family Planning and Care, Muslim Educational Society, Mashael Al Khair Committee at the Islamic Society, Bahraini Society of Engineers, Bahrain Secretarial Association, Bahrain Society for Training & Human Resources Development (BSTD), and the Youth Committee of the Supreme Council for Women. It is worth mentioning that His Majesty King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa had issued a Royal Order No. (14) for 2011 to establish and organize the National Committee to follow and implement the national model of integrating the women’s needs in the government’s work programme, under the chairmanship of the Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Women, HRH Princess Sabeeka Bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa.
