Member of the punk band Pussy Riot Maria Alyokhina has been transferred from a detention center in Nizhny Novgorod to a penal colony in Nizhny Novgorod Region, press secretary of the regional department of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) Nina Frolova told Itar-Tass. She did not specify when and to what colony Alyokhina was transferred, citing the legislation. However, the spokeswoman  confirmed that she is already “in one of the region’s penal colonies.” There are two female correctional institutions in the Nizhny Novgorod Region - IR-18 in the Ardatovsky district and IK-2 in Nizhny Novgorod. The member of the scandalous music band was serving a sentence in a women’s penal colony in Berezniki in the Perm Territory for a \"performance\" at the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow. Alyokhina was transferred to another penal institution by order of FSIN.
